GPAT counselling procedures, dates, and colleges: All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) will conduct their computer based aptitude tests of Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) 2018 on February 2018. The results of which will be published online on the official website of AICTE.

The scores are calculated based on the formula of correct answers being allotted 4 marks, incorrect answers will get a minus one mark and zero marks for no answer. Basis this calculation a national merit list is published by AICTE on their official website. In the case of more than one student getting the same score then the merit list sorts the names in alphabetical order.
The cutoff score will be based on the category chosen by the applicant. Only applicants who have secured the cut off score for their chosen category are eligible for admission to the M.Pharm course. The GPAT 2018 cut off scores for General and OBC category are higher than that of SC /ST / PD category.

The authorized colleges/institutes of each state government will be individually responsible for checking all original documents of the applicants to ensure all in order for their chosen category. The state government authorities are advised by AICTE to allocate seat basis the merit list and other criteria that may apply for each category.
As of yet, AICTE has not declared any counseling dates for GPAT 2018. In the case of any allocation of dates for counseling between the publication of the results and the actual admissions to the various colleges, students will have to ensure to register for GPAT 2018 counselling slot on available dates and times.
In absence of a central GPAT 2018 counseling date being assigned by AICTE, it is upon the respective State Governments to decide if they want to have a counseling session or allocate seat basis the merit list provided by AICTE. It is however not mandatory for the State Governments to have counselling sessions and they are free to proceed with seat allotment to the various colleges and institutes which are approved by the AICTE.
